BYOB

So,

I've tried to write a few posts, but I don't know if it's my computer, or what. But...well, let's hope this one works.

I told JoMilkman I would write an update.

So,here it goes.

I just heard a song that is a SONG. I mean, it's stuck in my head for days, it has a message that speaks to me (although there is an objectionable line that I think worships Satan...that's not cool).

The song is "BYOB" or "Bring Your Own Bombs" by System of a Down. Can't really describe it. It's just a rush of sonic power, brushed with passion, and infused with a "wake up the world" mentality. Is there a german word for that? Schenenfraude, or something?

I tuned in to MTV, and there was this hip-hop song playing..Then it went straight to metal. So, it's rap metal, which normally I don't check out, but this one has ENERGY!

Check it out. it's heavy metal, so you might not like it. But it is HEAVY. And if ou do find it somewhat intriguing, I guarantee you'll be humming it for days.

VH1's having some weird Rock N' Roll thing, where they list 100 people or something. They listed Red Hot Chilli Peppers at like 30. I'm not going to write about their rankings, or how there are never enough black artists on them, but I will say this, Motorhead's catchy. Oh wait, I'm talking about RHCP. Dude, they start playing, and a tear wells up in my eye. Wow. I forget sometimes how much I love music, how I just wish I could create it.

This leads me to my next story. I got my first major sale today (more on that later), and the cool thing is the guy is from my hometown (sorta), and he plays music on the sly. I tell him this true story how I was jamming with a bunch of guys, and I just fell so out of place, I couldn't keep up, and I got lost, so one of the guys comes over to the piano and plays for me. Me? I'm so ashamed, I really haven't picked up the ivory (if you can do that) since...We're talking like 6 years ago. But he looks me in the eye, and says, "never stop playing. even if you're playing for yourself, never stop playing."

well, my lovely lady is a supremely talented singer (albiet in classical music). So, I'm never far from music. And if she gets on the BSO, I'll definitely get to hear more.

Other things that have happened to me? AngryBostonian had an extra ticket to WWE. PHENOMENOAL. I can't spell. Good night.
